Alex and Julie Tamplin

Hello! We are Alex and Julie Tamplin and we wanted to share a little glimpse of our story with you. We have been married for just shy of 4 years and it has been an absolute joy! However, there are just a few missing pieces to our family.

One of our deepest desires is to have kids of our own. When we bought our home in July 2022 we knew we were as ready as we could be.

To give you a little background, Julie’s brother was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy when he was young. Thankfully her parents have done an incredible job at providing the best possible life for him. Taking care of anyone with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy can take a toll on a family. Not only have we seen the struggle that Julie’s brother has been through but her family as well.

We knew in the back of our minds that Julie could be a carrier as well. Julie went through genetic testing out of Cincinnati Children’s and unfortunately her results were positive.

Because of these results we have chosen to put an end to passing along this gene and to pursue the adoption process, specifically adopting embryos. We started this process through the Snowflakes Christian Adoption Program who have been extremely helpful walking though this with us.

Through this program we will be able to adopt several embryos from the same family. This process will allow a way for Julie to be able to carry a baby to term and we can have a family of our own, while also saving those who may never be adopted or given a chance at life.

If you’re wondering how you can help in this process, we wanted to provide a few ways you can support us. The first is your prayer. We would love for you to pray that could provide a wonderful home for our future children, that we would love them like our own. The second way you could support us is with your encouragement along the way.

And the third way you could support us is financially. Unfortunately, the adoption process Is not cheap. This whole process is $22,000. As much as Julie and I hate asking for money we would feel so grateful for any support you can give.

We know that everyone has financial burdens, maybe you can’t give financially, we’re so thankful you can support in other ways.
