God has a huge surprise for our family…..
We are adopting a baby boy with a rare genetic disorder, from the US! Although we have always been open to caring for any child God brings our way, we are shocked that right now is when our son is coming to us! We can't share too many details about his location or circumstance due to his situation, but we can tell you that he is ADORABLE and we will share pictures as soon as we can! Here is the really crazy part…. we (Dennis and Bethany) are getting him from his transitional care nurse just one week from today! We fly to his location March 25th.
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to prepare to welcome him into our home with almost no notice at all. This is why we have decided to share our need for the $15,000 that we need almost immediately.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we want to build around our son as he grows. Please pray for our son, his birth family who is grieving hard over this decision they've made, and his precious God-send of a nurse who has been caring for him since he was released from the NICU.
Please contact us with any further questions you have or to get information about the adoption that we're not able to share on a public forum. We know that this is a surprise… we're the MOST surprised!!
Thank you all for loving us and our new son!
Love, The Tilzey Family of 10
P.S. As the owners of One Less Orphan Benefit Store, you may be wondering why we don't have funds for our own adoption. The answer is pretty simple; we give it all away! We are thrilled to have helped fund several international and domestic adoptions through our store, as well as supporting numerous children and families in the US and overseas that are in need of help and finances. We trust that the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills will provide the finances we suddenly need to bring our son home, too.
What a turn of events! We got home with our beautiful son at the end of March. Then on June 20th, we received another tiny little one with the same genetic syndrome as our son! This precious baby's family had been looking for an adoptive family for their newborn. We love their little girl so much and we are honored to be her new parents. We thank God for the privilege of having an open adoption with her birth family. This sweet baby has a loving birth AND adoptive family!
We are overjoyed with the blessing of our new little guy! If all goes as planned, we will leave his home state in three days to bring him to his forever home!!! He is absolutely beautiful and just the sweetest baby ever <3
