Mike and Audrey Todd

are adopting a child from South Africa

We have big news!

We're adopting again! A few months ago God began speaking to us and calling us to adopt once more.

We're excited to bring another precious child into our family. We believe that every child deserves a loving and supportive family.

You may not know this but the cost of adoption is $35,000 or more. We would love to have you come alongside us and be a part in our child's life to help bring them home.

    Home study!

    November 11, 2022

Hi everyone! We're finishing up our paperwork for our home study!
By the end of December our next payment of $7,000 is due.
We're at $1,100. Would you please be in prayer for us as we're trusting in God to provide for the financial support we need on this adoption journey? We so much appreciate your love, prayers, and financial support as we're working to bring our child home.
Thank you all so very much! ❤️

    Onto the Homestudy

    September 23, 2022

Hi everyone! We're now onto the Homestudy part of the adoption process. The paperwork, and things we need to get done is overwhelming! It's a lot of work, and it feels as if we're moving at a snails pace!
I was reading in the book of James today. James 1:22-24 says "But don't just listen to the word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don't obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like."
We can know so much about God's word, but if we don't act on it then what is the point? A few verses down, it says in verse 27 "Pure and geniune religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you."
God spoke to us and we know He is calling us to adopt again. We have heard so many people tell us, "Wow, that's great that you're able to adopt. I'd like to, but it's too expensive. " You guys, we're missionaries.... with 6 kids! It is so scary to step out and do something, when you have no idea how you're going to pay for it, or how it's going to work out! We know though, that God is faithful, and He will make a way even when it seems impossible. So we are trusting in Him to provide a way. God commands us to care for the orphans and widows. They are worth the sacrifice. Can you please be praying for us as we work to complete all the paperwork and everything that needs completed for our homestudy? We would greatly appreciate prayers for the provision of funds to help cover the adoption costs.
    We thank you all!

    Paperwork, Trainings, and feeling overwhelmed!

    August 5, 2022

Hi everyone! I wanted to give you all an update on our adoption journey. We have started paperwork and training classes.
I remember the paperwork and trainings from our last adoption, but this time it feels SO overwhelming! It's a lot of work. Especially when you have a little one that has the energy and stamina of a superhero, combined with extreme curiosity and a desire to get into anything and everything that she's not supposed to be...
Well, that pretty much leaves the only time to work on things until after she goes to bed! (By the way my brain is fried by then!)
Anyway, I know it's all worth it to bring a precious child of God into our family.
We have already paid to our adoption agency $10,000. We're now starting the Home Study part of the adoption process, and we will need to pay $7,000 more by December. Thank you for your love, prayers, and support! We love you all!
    Blessings, Mike and Audrey
