We are adopting!

Life has been a bit nuts lately. Katarina is now 2.5 years old and is begging for a baby sibling. However, secondary infertility is making that much harder than we had hoped. We always hoped and prayed for a large family. So, adoption seems to be the path that God is asking us to take to grow our family.

The adoption process is expensive (an understatement!!) - we are estimating $45,000 at least for agency fees, birthmother expenses, and lawyer fees. We had our home study in early August, were approved a week later, and since then have been waiting to be matched with an expectant mom. We will likely be matched with an expectant mom in the Houston area, although the placement could be out of state. We are eager to take the next steps as we continue to save to come up with the remaining costs, especially after dealing with some medical expenses lately.
