Our family is growing through adoption! We are thrilled to grow our family in this way. James is going to be an awesome big brother! We have prayed about this since before we were married nine years ago. And over the past year or so, we've been praying, seeking wise counsel, and learning more about the adoption process. We are excited to be a part of living out James 1:27 to picture the gospel through adoption in this way.
We are about to sign with an agency for a domestic infant adoption. We plan to become an official "waiting family" in January, with the likelihood of being placed with our son or daughter in the year of 2024, however we are trusting in God's timing. Please pray for our family, our future child and their birth parents while we wait.
In the meantime, before January, we are completing more training, applying for grants and fundraising. We look forward to sharing updates about our adoption journey with you through our social media pages. We are grateful for your love and support!
On Monday, June 24th, we became a family of four! Our son, Joseph Martin Tripp, was born, and we were introduced to him soon after on Wednesday the 26th. He is such a sweetie and we are so in love!
We have such gratitude and love for all who have supported us on this journey to meeting our son. We can’t wait for you to meet him!
We have great joy in being Joseph’s mommy and dada. And oh boy - James is going to be such a wonderful big brother ❤️
This past week we have seen the love of our Heavenly Father in such a fresh way - the way God has adopted us into His family and loves us as His own. It is our deepest desire and prayer that Joseph will know that Jesus loves Him and that he will one day choose to follow Him.
Some of you have asked how to best support us during this time - thank you! We would of course love prayer as we step into being a family of four. Our church family will be setting up a meal train for us in a few weeks. Joseph is doing very well, but just needs a little more time in the NICU, so you can be praying for that. James is not allowed in the NICU right now, but we are so excited for these sweet brothers to meet!

A couple of important notes… ❤️
Please refrain from any language that could be damaging to the birth family. Though said with good intentions, anything that insinuates that Joseph was “given up” or that he “deserves to be with us” or is “better off with us” could actually be harmful and not helpful, so please refrain from those types of comments. We love Joseph’s birth mother and he will grow up knowing of her loving decision.
Over the next months, we will not be sharing Joseph’s face on any social media platform. If you do receive a photo from us, it is required that you ask us before you post anything with our son in it. If his face is shown in any photo, it must be hidden. We can’t wait for you to see his sweet face after the adoption is finalized!
As of January 11th, we are now a "Waiting Family" with Christian Adoption Services! This means that our family's information is being viewed by expectant moms who are considering making an adoption plan. It could be anywhere from today until months from now when we receive placement of a baby! Please continue to pray for our family, our future child and their birth parents while we wait.
We have received a grant (applying for more soon) and gifts from family & friends, so we are able to lower our fundraising goal! The love that has been shown to our family has blown us away! We praise God for everyone who was supported us not only financially, but also through words of encouragement and prayer. God has been so kind to us and we praise Him for leading us through this process!
Many have donated to support us in our adoption journey. Thank you! We also recently received a $3,000 donation directly which lowered our overall goal to $36,500. We appreciate all of your prayers and support!
