Friends and Family,

We’re excited (and a little nervous!) to share with you that we are starting a new “adventure” for our family—we have started the process of adoption!

This is something that has been on our hearts for a long time. After much thought, prayer, and conversations with those who have walked this journey, we feel God is calling us to take a step of faith to add the blessing of another child to our family through adoption. We know the journey ahead won’t always be easy—there is a lot of paperwork, waiting, and uncertainty—but we are stepping forward in faith, believing that God will guide us each step of the way.

Right now, we are in the early stages of adoption through Holt International—gathering documents, watching trainings, reading books, and learning as much as we can. There’s a lot to navigate, but we’re grateful for the support of friends, family, and our community near and far. We’ll be using this CaringBridge page to keep you updated on our progress, share news, and ask for prayer as we navigate this journey.

The first and biggest thing we ask for is your prayers—for the child who will eventually join our family, for their birth family, and for wisdom for us throughout this process. If you’ve walked this road before or have wisdom to share, we’d love to hear from you!

Because this possibility has been on our hearts for a number of years we have been able to save part of the money needed to complete this adoption, but we are still hoping to raise about $25,000 to cover the remaining anticipated costs.
