Please see update from December 2025 for the full story. We ARE STILL adopting again and feel very called to this journey once more. We do not want to delete our original post for how this all came to be as that is just as much a part of our story and journey as the rest will be. While it will not happen as we thought when we originally were called to this process again in October 2025, God is still writing our story and He is not done. We are very excited and blessed to be on the adoption journey again.

We are adopting AGAIN! We found out in October from our previous adoption agency that our daughter’s birth momma is pregnant and wants to place the baby with our family. After much prayer and discernment, we are beyond blessed that God has led us to adopt again and for our family to grow through the miracle of adoption a second time. We are so excited to welcome this precious baby girl to our family and that all 4 children will be able to grow up together. What a special bond that will be!

Domestic adoption costs can unfortunately be $50,000 or even more. We appreciate any donation. It all helps tremendously in this process especially with this being very unexpected and needing funds right away. Any funds donated will go directly to our adoption agency for this process and will only be used for adoption related expenses such as agency fees, legal fees, birth mom expenses, travel, lodging, and hospital stay expenses.

    Update - Holding On To Hope

    December 4, 2025

    Another update on our adoption journey…this time not a happy one, unfortunately. We found out very late Sunday night that Tasha lost the baby. She was about 22 weeks. We are devastated (for Tasha and for us) and it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions this week. We would appreciate any prayers for Tasha and for our family during this time.

    Even in these first few days after our loss, we have very clearly felt God still calling us to adopt, so we are continuing on our adoption journey. We are now on the waitlist at our adoption agency and could be matched with another expectant mom at any time. While it will not be this baby or Daisy’s biological half-sibling (which does make us sad), this baby will always be a part of our family, journey, and story that leads us to whoever God has called to join our family on this side of Heaven. We know He isn’t finished yet because the end of the story isn’t good yet and we hold onto hope with anticipation because of Jesus.

    Please know that if you’ve made a donation to our adoption fundraiser (online or in cash) ALL of that money is still going towards our adoption. All of the donations have already gone to our adoption agency and will be held pending in our account until we match with another expectant momma. This fundraiser page will stay active, but I won’t be posting about it until we have matched with another expectant mom.

    Thank you again to everyone for your generosity, support, encouragement, and prayers during our adoption process up to this point and going forward as well. It truly means more than we could ever put into words.

    Ultrasound in January

    November 15, 2025

    Hi everyone!

    We wanted to post an update letting everyone know that all 5 of us are going to be driving down to Florida in early January to have lunch and go to an ultrasound with our expectant momma, Tasha. This is something that the adoption agency has all adoptive families do around the 25-27 week mark of the pregnancy. We also did this back in January 2023 when Tasha was pregnant with Daisy! We are very excited to see Tasha again and have this special experience all together. It will be a very quick trip - just driving down over 1-2 days, ultrasound, and then driving back over 1-2 days. But it will be a very special time and we are praying that this trip helps our 3 young kiddos understand a little bit more what is happening and the fact that their baby sister is currently growing and being formed in Tasha’s womb. Thank you all for your prayers as we prepare for this trip and then very soon after that, our trip back down to Florida when baby girl is born!
