We have exciting news to share - we are adopting a child!

We have always considered adoption as a possibility for the future, but after our struggle with secondary infertility, miscarriage, and failed fertility treatments, we started feeling a strong sense that the future is now. We didn’t have a peace about continuing with fertility treatments when we knew we have the option to adopt a child in need of a home. We have such a peace and are so excited about taking this step to grow our family and covet your prayers throughout the process.

We are working with Texas Adoption Center, who estimates an adoption to total anywhere between $40,000-$50,000. While this number seems daunting, we know that if this is God’s will for our family and for this child, He will provide a way. We know that this journey will require continued saving, grant applications, and sacrifice on our part. We also know we absolutely cannot do it alone. And while that is intimidating, it is also such a beautiful thing to lean on our community to bring this child home.

    Hi!! For those of you walking alongside us on this journey - we have an exciting update: We were matched! We received a birth mom's profile back in July (on my birthday actually) who we chose to present to. After getting to do a zoom call with her, she chose us to adopt her baby after only 2 weeks of being active. We've gotten to do a couple of zoom calls with her since then and are so thankful to get to know her. We are excited, hopeful, and humbled throughout this process and are thrilled to be bringing home baby boy early November!

    Thank ya'll for your continued prayer & support throughout this process. The Lord is constantly teaching and growing us throughout the last few months. We are excited to see our family's story continue to unfold.

    Waiting to be matched

    Hi ya'll! Wanted to share a quick update for those of you who have been following along on our adoption journey.

    We have completed our home study and onboarding with our agency, all of our paperwork has been submitted, and we were moved to the "active" list last week!

    From here, we prayerfully wait to be matched with a birth mom - where we will give our "yes" and she will give her "yes". There's no telling how long this could take (could happen anytime now or take around a year) but we are hopeful that the Lord has gone before us and already knows the child that we will be bringing home. As we wait, continue to pray with us for the birth mom, for the health of the baby, and for our hearts throughout this process.
