My Husband and I have always wanted a family of our own. We lost our first pregnancy at 14 weeks, just a few days after Christmas and we were devastated. Adopting has always been something we’ve discussed and wanted to do when the time was right.

Well, two years ago the universe told us the time was NOW. My adoptive Mom reached out and told me there was a little boy who may need a home, otherwise his next stop was state custody. I talked with my Husband and without question, it was a yes. A month or two passed and I got a call on December 30, 2023, while I was on the side of a mountain that I needed to get to Florida ASAP as the family he was with could no longer care for him. I called my Husband, let him know, rushed home, packed my bag and drove 10+ hours to Florida from North Georgia.

December 31, 2023, would be the start of a new beginning for our boy. I’ll never forget the first day I met him; Wild long curly hair, beautiful brown eyes, and the sweetest smile in the world.

We are beyond blessed and grateful that we’ve been entrusted to love him and raise him for the rest of our lives. We knew adoption could be costly but could never have imagined just how costly it would become. We have faced a legal battle to save our boy that has exceeded $20,000.00.

We are setting a goal of $20,000.00 and hope that by inviting you into our world, you will see yourself as part of the village we have already begun to build around our boy as he grows up.
