We are the Williams family. We have five biological children ages, 20, 18, 16, 14, and 11. After many years of being open to adoption, we have the joy and privilege of adding a 13 year old daughter to our family. We are grateful to another family who shared the sweet story of this girl they had met in the orphanage when they were adopting their son. Our new daughter was a very special friend to their son. Our friend came home with the determination to find a family for this girl. Knowing our hearts for the hurting children of this world, she came to us to share her story. All I can say is that our hearts melted, and without hesitation the answer was, "Yes!" We have loved her from the moment we saw her picture and heard her story. While the journey so far has been challenging with paperwork and waiting, we have been very blessed as we have seen the Lord provide with each step. We feel it is such a privilege to be her family and be on this journey. One of the many things we look forward to is sharing in our daughter's joy as she reunites with her friend from the orphanage. As much of her life has been caring for younger children only to eventually say goodbye as they find their forever families, this time she will be the one to have a forever family! We are hoping to send our dossier to China within the next two weeks and expect to travel sometime in August.
