I have some BIG news!
I have an amazing opportunity to adopt my beautiful 4-year-old granddaughter, Veronica Kay (Roni).
I have such an excitement to have a longing fulfilled as a parent. At one time, I really wanted a 3rd child, which makes this a dream come true!
As you know, adoption can be extremely expensive, but given that I am adopting from within the family, with the consent of both parents, I have a total cost of $6500. This includes $5500 for the attorney/court costs and $1000 for the home study. ($6825 including fees)
Anything over and above this $6825 would need to be given directly to me in order for me to actually receive it. Because I'm a single parent, it will go into a different fund for any on-going childcare needs as well as for any additional needs for the process of us getting settled into our new normal.
I HAVE DECIDED NOT TO USE ANY PERSONAL SOCIAL MEDIA for this fundraiser in order to protect the privacy of Roni's mother. I hope that by inviting you into this process, you will view yourself as part of the community I hope to build around Roni as she grows up.
