Hi everyone! My wife and I have been married since 2015 and have been trying to start a family since 2020. After more than a year without being able to conceive naturally, we decided to seek out help with a fertility specialist which ended up being far more involved than either of us thought it would ever be. We have gone through multiple IUI and IVF cycles and the hundreds of shots that come along with them, multiple non-successful implantations, a non-successful embryo transfer, a successful embryo transfer that resulted in a miscarriage at week 10, and thousands upon thousands of dollars spent in an effort to try and grow our family.
We have always known we wanted to adopt, and now we are turning our eyes towards that process as we see the difficulty in starting a family naturally as well as medically as a sign that perhaps we were always meant to make ourselves available to those in need of a loving home and family for their little ones. We know that these are trying times for everyone, but we would be incredibly appreciative of any amount that can be spared to continue along this path. The price of adoption is full of fees that add up incredibly quickly and can total up to tens of thousands of dollars. We are hoping to raise as close to the $35,000 mark as we can to try and offset the overwhelming amount it will ultimately cost to achieve our dreams. Thank you all so much and God bless you.
Thank you all so much for everything you have contributed to our fund so far! It truly is mind blowing the amount of support and outpouring of love we have gotten in just the short amount of time it has been since we announced our plans to adopt.
This upcoming Thursday, we have a call with the director of the program to move forward with signing the paperwork that will start the process of connecting us to our future birth mother. Unfortunately, that is also the day that the biggest off all the payment needs is going to be needed. We will need to be able to have $20,000 on hand for the upfront initial fees and through the kindness and generosity of so many amazing people we have been able to make a MASSIVE dent in that price tag, however we would still ask for your help in helping us achieve this dream by sharing our post in any ways that you can. If everyone who has donated so far would be able to re-share our post, we would be able to reach so many individuals who may feel it in their heart to help us reach our goals.
If I am being completely honest, it feels very strange and out of place for us to be asking for this kind of financial assistance and charity. However, we completely recognize that this situation is not a normal or usual one. This adoption process is something that Brooke and I both feel incredibly strong about and have wanted to do since before we were married. And while the timeline of when we would adopt has certainly shifted forward by quite a bit, that makes us no less passionate about pursuing the outcome that we both want. If that means that we need to do some things that make us uncomfortable, then so be it. We will do whatever it takes time and time again to achieve our dreams, no matter how insurmountable they may seem right now. We both know that a day is coming where we both look back on these moments and think about how much we had to overcome to have our family.
Again, thank you all for everything you have done for us so far and an even greater thank you for any additional help you can provide by sharing our story moving forward ❤️
We were officially accepted by our adoption agency today! Our next meeting with them is October 19th and that is when our first major payment will be due— $20,000.
Thank you for your support!
