We’re Adopting!
This is a story that’s very personal, but it gives you an idea of how long we have been trying to start a family.
For years now we’ve walked a road filled with every emotion imaginable like hope, grief, and longing, all in pursuit of becoming parents.
Our journey began with IVF, and over time we’ve gone through six embryo transfers, including adopting embryos with a dream of giving them a chance at life and expanding our family. Each transfer came with anticipation, prayers, and love. Some brought hope. Others brought heartache. One of the most painful moments in our lives came during our second transfer, when we experienced the devastating loss of our baby boy at 25 weeks. There are no words to truly express what it felt like to see a heartbeat one week and then lose it the next. That kind of loss stays with you forever, and we’ve grieved it deeply together. Later we found out that my blood is thick and I would need to be on a blood thinner to carry a pregnancy safely. This discovery helped explain our loss, and though heartbreaking it gave us some clarity. Through all of this our desire to become parents hasn’t changed, but the path we’re taking now has. We are now pursuing adoption. We’ve always believed love makes a family. And while this road hasn’t looked the way we thought it would, we know it’s leading us to exactly where we are meant to be. To those of you who have walked with us through the highs and lows, prayed for us and hoped along side us. Thank you so much. Your support has meant more than we can say.
Adoption is a beautiful process, but it comes with alot of financial hurdles. If you can help, whether by donating, sharing our story, or simply keeping us in your thoughts and prayers, we would be so thankful. (All donations to Adopt Together site are tax deductible and can only be used for adoption expenses).Thank you for letting us share our story. We hope one day soon we will be able to introduce you to the newest member of our family.
