Hunter & Lisa Wylie
are adopting a child from United States of America
Hey there friends, Hunter and Lisa here. We wanted to give everyone some information on our family as we don’t typically post to social media, much less ask others for help.
To give you some background, we have been trying to grow our family for the past 4 years. When we were dating, we discussed the potential of children in our future. We felt called to adopt while also wanting biological children. In October of 2021, we got pregnant but were unable to carry the child to term. It was a painful time as we wrestled with God’s plan. Through various doctor’s visits, we learned it would be highly unlikely for us to conceive again, much less be able to bring a child into this world. Although this was hard to hear, we always knew adoption was part of God’s will for our family.
We are thankful God gave us answers and time to grieve our loss so we can be fully available to welcome a child into our family. As such, we are excited to announce that we will be growing our family through adoption as we have found an agency that God has called us to partner with.
As you may know, adoption can be expensive. Our heart is for the birth mother, and our selected agency mirrors that love as well. With this being said, the money we are raising covers our adoption and the agency’s ability to care for the mother of our future child.
Thank you so much for your love and support as we continue through this journey. If you would like to see more in-depth updates, please follow us on our website.

Update 5
November Update
November 1, 2025We just want to let you know that the mom decided to parent.
Through this whole process we have had a heart for the birthmom. We are obviously heartbroken for ourselves. But we are genuinely happy that this mom is getting to raise her baby despite her current circumstances.
No situation that leads to adoption is a happy one. Every decision that a mom makes is out of love. And we know that this child will be loved for his whole life.
We will work through the aftermath of this and evaluate again when we want to be placed on the active list. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Update 4
October Update - Part 2
October 31, 2025We are so blessed to be able to say we rejoined our agency’s active list, got matched with a mom, had a Zoom call to meet her, and got a call that baby came early! We quickly mobilized to the hospital and are ready to be here for awhile as the baby grows in NICU. Thank you for your continued prayers as we 16hrs away from officially being parents!

Update 3
October Update
October 8, 2025We want to share openly with you all: our recent adoption opportunity has come to an unexpected end. The expectant mom we were matched with has chosen to parent her baby. While this brings deep sadness for us, we also want to celebrate that she has the chance to raise her child and step fully into that sacred relationship. Baby boy will get to be raised with his older brother and get to have that relationship as well.
We still feel called to adoption and will return to the active list with our agency once our hearts are ready. For now, we are taking time to process, pray, and prepare for what God has ahead.
Thank you to everyone who has walked with us—your love, encouragement, and prayers mean more than we can say. 💙 -
Update 2
Matched!
August 12, 2025Whoa, what a whirlwind of only a couple weeks! We have now been selected by a wonderful mother for us to raise her soon-to-be-born child! Thank you all for your continued support, love, and prayers as we scramble to finish the nursery, baby registry, and more this weekend.
With gratitude,
Hunter and Lisa -
Update 1
Wylie Adoption Update - 6/30
July 30, 2025Hey there folks!
First, we would like to thank each of you for your prayers and support. Truly, this has been something we never could have imagined doing on our own!
To give a quick update, we had our Home Study accepted and posted to the State of Texas on July 22, allowing our agency to place us on the waiting list. This process is usually estimated to take about 4 months, so as to give time for adoptive families like us time to raise additional necessary funds for the adoption, create a profile book for presentation to birth parent(s), and ready all other details before going “active”.
So, after “long and drawn out process” (total of 7days,9hrs), we are off the waitlist!! We literally screamed and giggled when the agency called us this afternoon. We are so excited and anxious, so please continue to pray for us and over us as we get closer to bring home our child! Thank you for all that you are doing, as we still cannot believe the support we’ve had and the community that God has surrounded us with!
With love,
Hunter and Lisa
