  Our Beloved Church Community!

  This morning, our hearts overflowed with gratitude as we stood before our beloved church family and shared the incredible story of God’s faithfulness and miraculous power through our adoption journey. From every answered prayer to every unexpected blessing, we’ve seen His hand at work, weaving our family’s redemption story in ways only He could.

  We are beyond excited to bring our sweet Merci James into the most loving, supportive community we could ever imagine! This church isn’t just a place we gather—it’s our home, our strength, and our joy. We can’t wait for the day we stand together again to dedicate Merci James, surrounded by all of you who’ve prayed, loved, and cheered us on.

  Sharing this journey with our church family means the world to us. Your encouragement reminds us that this story isn’t just ours—it’s a testament to God’s grace that we get to proclaim together. Thank you for being part of our miracle!

  Final Countdown!!!

  April 6, 2025

  We’re in the final countdown!

  In just a little over 3 weeks, we’ll be heading to Portland, Oregon to be with the birth mother and family as we prepare to welcome our daughter, Merci James, into the world. 💗

  We’ll need to stay in Oregon for up to 2 weeks post-birth (state law), which means extra travel, housing, meals, and time away from home.

  If you feel led to give, your support would mean the world to us. 💛 All donations go toward our adoption fees, travel expenses, and living costs while we wait to bring Merci home.

  We’re so grateful for every prayer, message, and act of love. Thank you for being part of our story.

  Name Reveal!!!

  April 6, 2025

  We’re so excited to share the name of our sweet baby girl…
  Merci 💕

  Her name holds deep meaning for us—“God’s compassion on our lives.” It’s a reminder of His mercy in writing this beautiful story of adoption, and also a nod to the French word merci, meaning “thank you.” We chose it as a way to say thank you to God for this miracle… and thank you to her—for being the most incredible gift we’ve ever received.

  And in true “new parent” fashion… we accidentally spelled her name wrong in our name reveal photos. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 A little glimpse into the chaos and laughter that’s sure to come. Let’s just call it a prophetic peek into our future with two kiddos!

  We’re counting down the days—Merci is due early May—and our hearts are already so full. Thank you for continuing to pray for us, cheer us on, and celebrate every step of this journey. We can't wait for you all to meet her. 💕

  We have been MATCHED!!!

  April 6, 2025

  In a way that only God could orchestrate, a long-time family friend came to us with a life-changing question: would we consider adopting their baby? With full hearts and tear-filled eyes, we said yes.

  And now, we’re overjoyed to share that our baby girl is expected to arrive in early May! 💕

  This journey has always been rooted in faith, love, and trust in God’s perfect timing—and this match is nothing short of a miracle. We’re overwhelmed with gratitude and can’t wait to welcome this precious little one into our family.

  Thank you for continuing to walk alongside us, pray for us, and support us as this beautiful story unfolds.

  Profile Book & Agency Applications!

  October 2, 2024

  Dancin' because we have made some great progress in our adoption journey! We’re thrilled to share some exciting updates with you! We’ve officially completed our adoption profile book, and Kaitlyn poured her heart and soul into it. We couldn’t be more proud of how it turned out! If you’d like to take a peek at the book, we’d love to share it with you—just reach out to us. Additionally, we’ve applied to six different agencies and are feeling so eager and hopeful as we move forward in the process of matching with potential birth mothers. This journey is becoming more real every day, and we’re incredibly thankful for all the support you’ve shown us so far. We can’t wait to see what’s next!
