is adopting a child from Congo

It is heartbreaking that here we are closing in on THREE YEARS of waiting for our "A" to come home from Congo. At times it seems like just yesterday we met him through that first picture. Other times it seems like we have been preparing for his homecoming for as long as I can remember. September 25 marks two years since the DRC began the suspension of exit letters for legally adopted children. Throughout this time we have paid for his monthly orphanage care, several costly home studies updates/addendums, and travel visas for us during those times on this roller coaster when we thought travel was near. That's just to name a few expenses that are due to our incredibly long wait. Unfortunately, A's US immigration visa expired today, September 24. That means that even if the suspension is lifted tomorrow on the 2 year anniversary of its beginning, we aren't able to bring him home until it is renewed. While we would never let funds keep us from bringing him home, we are in a position of need as we are also faced with beginning an entire new home study because of our recent move. We are asking for your help.
