Since we married in 2003, adoption has been a regular topic of conversation in our home. Ester always had a heart to adopt, but it wasn&'t until she began her work educating young women in crisis pregnancy situations about adoption, that Dan got serious about the topic. It all happened at an adoption ceremony as we watched an incredible young woman place her baby girl in a loving adoptive couple&'s arms. It was Dan&'s first adoption experience, and this brave sacrifice of love touched his heart in a way no conversation ever could. As soon as we began our drive home, Dan asked, "When are we going to adopt?" It&'s amazing to think how just a little while ago we were only dreaming of a child to love. Now that child has a face and a name. Just a little while ago we were complete strangers, but God knew each of us and was working behind the scenes, veering our paths toward each other. The moment our paths met, our lives were forever changed. Right now, our hearts are in Korea with a precious baby boy. Our love for him deeper than words.
