Joshua is an INCREDIBLE husband and an AMAZING stepfather to my two kids, but we wanted NOTHING MORE than to raise a baby TOGETHER.
Unfortunately, in June 2016 after a year and a half of trying, we had our first miscarriage. We fell pregnant again in July, only to learn that due to the placement of the pregnancy, it was life-threatening and we had to terminate it. The safest way to remove the pregnancy was for me to have a total hysterectomy- stripping our dream of having a baby together.
Our faith was strong, but it was definitely shaken during this season in our life. We had so many questions and even felt angry at God. However, we both KNEW that this was HIS plan for whatever reason, so we decided to focus on the "blessings in disguise." And at that time, we had NO IDEA what that was…
We began to share our story through blogging and on social media which lead to us building an online community through my business of encouragement, support, and friendships all through God's grace. We soon felt like it was our calling to be the light for so many other people even in our darkest moments.
My husband has always told me, that everything happens in God's time. Our faith and trust in the Lord are what has gotten us through the most difficult time of our lives. When the time was right, the Lord helped me to LET GO of the anger and sadness that had been consuming me and instead filled my heart with LOVE and HOPE again for another baby!
We have decided to ADOPT a baby!
We are beyond excited for this new adventure and we are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more.
We would like to use this campaign to help everyone involved be able to SEE the progress as we move forward!
We are beyond blessed and so grateful for each and every one of you involved. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for helping us expand our family and PROVIDE a home for a baby! \<3
