Miles Bonifield

is adopting a child from United States of America

Our names are Miles and Berklye. We were lucky enough to find each other in the sixth grade and have been soul mates ever since. We have been married for 5 years, but have been together for 17. We love being together and we love being active. We love to travel, cook, sing, dance and be silly. Miles is a hard worker, protector, provider and loves to take care of people around him. Berklye is full of love, laughter, strength and guidance. We have a golden-doodle, Mr. Olsen, who is so spoiled but so deeply loved. We both love the Lord with all our hearts and pursue a deeper relationship with him daily. A year into our marriage we welcomed our first daughter, Evelyn. She was perfect. After 11 days with our new bundle of joy we went to our pediatrician and she checked her oxygen level and found it was low. We were sent to the hospital to do some test to figure out why it was low. The doctors did all sorts of tests to try and figure out what was going on. While they were inserting a breathing tube down her throat, her lung collapsed. They tired everything they could to save her, but it was too late. Our sweet Evelyn went to be with Jesus that night. After taking time to heal from losing Evelyn, we decided to try again. God blessed us with another beautiful baby girl, Scarlett. We were extremely careful with her. We took extra precaution with everything we did. We saw our pediatrician once a week and everything was double and triple checked. We made sure she had the cleanest and healthiest environment possible. We got 9 and 1/2 weeks with her. Just like her sister, we noticed she was having issues breathing. We rushed her to the ER. They did everything they could but it was not enough. She went to be with Jesus. After extensive testing we have found out that we have a genetic heart issue and that is why our girls did not survive. We have learned that Miles and I cannot have biological children with out the risk of this genetic heart issue affecting them. We are so thankful and blessed by the time we got with each of our girls. They have forever changed our lives and our outlook on life. We know we want a family and know that the path God has laid out for us is to adopt. We know God will provide the perfect baby for us and we appreciate you generosity in helping us through this journey. It is with your financial help that will allow us to finally have a family. Thank you.
