Hello! We're Steve & Nicole. Where we are in the process: October 22nd - We received and reviewed our completed home study. It will go to MLJ for review and completion before we can submit our I-600A. September 22nd - We've submitted a majority of our paper work to our home study agency and we're having our second interview with the social worker tomorrow morning. We're currently working on gathering our documents for our dossier too. Things are moving right along. We received our acceptance letter from MLJ Adoptions on July 1st. We're now in the process of reviewing all of the agreements, looking into home study agencies, and getting the first payments together. Our adoption journey started a few months ago when we were looking at alternatives to having a biological child. We came across the idea of international adoption and looked at our options. After talking to a few friends who had adopted (domestic and international) we decided that the time was right! We submitted our application and were approved the same day! A bit about us? We were married on October 31st, 2015 and we're about as unorthodox as they come. Steve and I are both huge hockey fans and it's the number one sport in the house. If we're not watching hockey then we're out and about spending time with friends and family. If we're not out on the town, we're hanging out at the house cooking and watching movies. We hope, within the next few years, that a little one will be joining in on our wonderfully crazy lives.
