After years of praying and thinking about adoption or foster care, our family has decided to dive in HEART first. Why do we say heart first? For a long time we let our fears, worries and selfish concerns get in the way. Now we know in our hearts, that the Lord is calling us to rescue an orphan. Our fear has been overcome with the deeper purpose of adopting the child God has for us. We believe that adoption is a beautiful picture of what God has done for us. We were hopeless and broken when Jesus came to the cross to rescue us. Through His sacrifice, God adopts us into His family. What a perfect gift of love Jesus demonstrates. Our little girl is hopeless and broken, born with a cleft palette and abandoned in a ditch when she was just one day old. Because her palette and lip are unrepaired she is malnourished and desperately needs surgery to repair this condition. God has called us to adopt her into our family and get her the medical care she needs. By His grace we get to be His hands of love to this little one who was abandoned. We have been praying and working everyday for the last 9 months to bring her home. While we are capable of caring for her along side our four other children, international adoption is very expensive. Many of our family and friends have asked us to set up a tax-deductible site, where you can support us. Our adoption is approximately $33,000.00 and we have paid $17,000.00.
