We are the Gaines family. At work, we use our talents exclusively for non-profits through our business, Causality. At home, we volunteer and donate to causes near and dear to our hearts. We have two dogs, two cats and foster homeless pets until they are healthy enough to find homes. We are blessed to have two wonderful boys, 7 and 8 years old, adopted from Kazakhstan in 2006 and have been on a year long journey to adopt a daughter. We tried to adopt independently from Russia but our adoption provider was unable to follow through. The setback has been heartbreaking but we will press on. We've been matched with a 7 year old girl from China's Special Focus program and our hope is returning. Our experience in Russia strained our finances and emotions, but not our faith. We will make it happen. We will budget, we will save and we will apply for grants. Asking others for help is not something we are very good at. It is hard for us. We hope you will accept our request in the spirit it is intended, to help give an orphaned little girl a forever home. Anything will help and mean so much.
