Dear Friends and Family, We want to THANK YOU for supporting our desire to adopt. For many years we have felt drawn to adoption and feel it is God's plan for our family to expand through adoption. We believe that God calls us to love and care for children, like He loves and cares for us. We have both had many experiences in our personal lives to see what a significant role adoption plays in a child's life. We have spent the past 3 years trying to adopt internationally. Unfortunately, Congo adoptions have closed. With much prayer and thought, we feel that for some reason God has shut that door for us to adopt from Congo. Although we do not understand why, we do feel that God has opened our hearts and minds to reach out to a birth-mom here in our own country to adopt domestically. Adoption however is an expensive process, and although we have been saving for quite some time now, we still have a ways to go to reach our goal in order to bring our child home. We are now officially on the waiting list, and can not wait to see who God will bless us with! Up to this point, the cost has not been to overwhelming, but from now until we bring our bundle(s) of joy home, the cost will significantly increase.
