We are the Hatcher's: Christopher, Brittany, and Mason. About a year ago, our son told us that he wanted a baby sister so that we could have a whole family. After a lot of thought and prayer, we decided to give in to our son's request and the peer pressure from our families about trying for another child. After unsuccessfully trying for months, we sought the opinion of a doctor, and were given the news that Brittany would need to see an infertility specialist in order to conceive. Rather than becoming discouraged, we viewed this as "fate," leading us back to a discussion that we had many years ago about adoption. For some time, we have felt a calling to adopt and are thrilled to be on this journey, and look forward to adding to our family in this way. At this point, we have been fully accepted to a domestic adoption program, and families are actively able to view our profile at this time. We could be selected as adoptive parents any day, by a birth mother at any stage of pregnancy. Therefore, we need to be ready when we are selected.
