Our Adoption Journey began almost 5 years ago when our first child, Reiland, was four months old. We felt God calling us to adoption, and decided to attend an adoption fair. We learned so much and began praying for God to show us how He wanted adoption to be a part of our family. We felt His answer was to be supportive of adoption in any way He led us. We knew that adoption would be a way of growing our family one day, but that it would be in His timing. We continued to pray and support others in their adoptions for the next 4 years. During that time, we wanted to expand our family, but through prayer, felt that it was not time for us to adopt. We had our second child, Adeline, biologically. As timed passed, we felt led to expand our family again, and this time, finally felt like God was moving us to adopt. We began the process with a lot of "No's" as we looked into the requirements of different countries, but the whole time had a peace that this was just part of getting us to the place God wanted. After a few months, we were introduced to Creative Adoptions, Inc and their Eastern Caribbean program. After speaking with the director, we felt such peace about this being the agency we were to work with. We began the initial application and home study process immediately. We are now on the waiting list and recently hit the one year mark for our adoption journey. We continue to see God at work in our family, and know His timing is perfect. Although we long for another child to join our family, we have full faith in His plan.
