My name is Jessica and I have been married to my wonderful husband, Steven, for almost 10 years now. We have two children, Gavin and Aubrey, who are our world. We are a military family currently stationed in Rota, Spain. We have always wanted to adopt and in the summer of 2015, with a son and daughter of our own, we knew it was time to pursue adopting to expand our family. Our lives have always been intertwined with the Deaf community and we feel that our calling is to adopt a Deaf child as we feel we have the knowledge and resources to embrace that child's deafness and help them thrive. After reading about the poor education and lack of opportunities for deaf children in India, we felt even more compelled to adopt a child from India so that she can be given the opportunity to be loved for who she is and given an environment she can thrive in. We are MATCHED with a beautiful little girl as of Feb 2018! A little more about us: We are a fun-loving homeschooling family! We love the freedom this allows us to let them learn at their own pace and to allow them to explore those interests by means of hands-on activities and field trips. As a family we also enjoy spending time outdoors at the beach, playing at the park, and exploring nature by camping, canoeing, or gardening. Our children also love to help us in the kitchen with regular meals or making special treats. Their favorite meal to help with is our weekly pancake breakfast. We always turn on Jack Johnson's "Making Banana Pancakes" and dance around while mixing the batter and the kids love to add neat toppings. Now that you know a bit more about us, we need your help.
