God did call us into the deep last year when He asked our Christian family, with four biological children, to care for yet another child. A child that was unknown to us and in a country half way around the world. He called us to embrace His purpose and His plans for our life, but when we did, we never realized how far He would stretch us. He has seen every tear we've cried, heard every prayer we've prayed and watched every free minute we've sacrificed for this little girl. He knows how desperately we've fought to give her a home.
We are still learning the balance between relying on God and doing our part, but we (and others) have shown up, with tools in hand, as He does the heavy lifting. God will provide, but there’s always something for us to do as well. God has invited us into this miracle and we are so grateful He chose our family.
