We are excited to share the news that we brought our little Giavanna home in April. The birthmom sent us a text at 3am saying our baby girl was showing up three weeks early! We rushed off to meet her, and 15 hours later were snuggling our 5-pound, brown-eyed girl. Little Gia was in the NICU for 12 days, fighting off a strep infection. Chris and I stayed with her in the hospital (snatching sleep and washing clothes at a near-by hotel) until we were allowed to bring her home: about three weeks later. She was so cute nestled in her tiny car seat, sleeping and yawning as we traveled across three states to our home. Thank you for your support and encouragement during our adoption journey. We could still use some financial help with the unexpected long stay in our baby&'s birth State, NICU medical costs and legal fees. Extra Gia smiles for anyone who can donate during this transition time! Hugs and love from the McCracken family.
