Hi, we are Phil, Bekah, Karington (4), and Caedmon (2) Chaney. We live in Lexington, KY. We are currently in the process of our second attempt at adopting an infant through a private domestic adoption. Our first attempt failed after being matched with a birthmom for 7 months, consequently costing us $13,000 of lost birthmother support money. The infant will be of Marshallese (Marshall Islands) descent but located in Arkansas. So in a way we are bringing the nations to us through this domestic adoption. We know adoption will not be easy as we have seen through our first attempt, but we feel like this is something God has called us to do. We also know that we have so much support from our great friends, family, and church family. The Lord has blessed us with so much, and we hope to bless another with what he has given us. We feel led to fulfill our specific calling to care for orphans as it says in James 1:27, by adopting. There are some pretty large financial goals still to reach, and we know with the help of God working through others we will reach those goals. We hope you will be able to support this journey financially. We know not everyone is in a position to give financially, so praying is another great way to support us.
