We are very excited to share our next adoption adventure with all of our friends and family! Meet Lucy, who stayed with us in the Summer of 2010 on her visit here from her orphanage in Russia. We have thought about her ever since. In December of last year, while we were in Russia finalizing our adoption of Nikita, we visited her. As soon as we saw her again, we knew we wanted her to be in our family! Nikita and Lucy were instant friends. They even called each other brother and sister as we made our way around St. Petersburg together. Lucy is 12 years old and she will "age out" of the orphanage system soon if we don't move fast and we all know what could happen to her then. We have been home six months with Nikita and are now allowed to proceed with the next steps in bringing Lucy home. This is where we need help. Our goal is to raise $52,000 to cover the adoption costs. Lucy has some special medical needs and we are sure that with all the love we can give her and a healthy family lifestyle here she will go on to live a happy, long and wonderful life.
