Early in our relationship, we knew that God was calling us to adopt - to provide for precious little ones who needed homes and to walk alongside young women facing unplanned pregnancies. Two years ago, we adopted precious Abigail and are blessed with an amazing relationship with her birth family. God is gracious! Adoption was our Plan A, but we always planned on having biological children, as well. A year ago, we found out that this is very unlikely. We would love a miracle, but are excited to continue growing our family through adoption! God has given us a passion for the sanctity of life and helping women through unplanned pregnancies, and is calling us to start the adoption process again! We are excited to see who Baby Schmitt #2 is and how he or she joins are family! Our biggest hurdle is funding. Anticipated costs are now $17,500. As a young family, living on one income, we look at the figures and think it is impossible. However, as God has shown us before, when He calls, He provides. We already have raised/earned $12,879!
