Joy Ward

is adopting a child from United States of America

We believe that God has called us to "defend the weak and fatherless" (Psalm 82) by growing our family by adoption! We received a call on Christmas Day - a little boy had just been born and he needed a family. We have spent the past week with our son in the NICU as he fought to overcome the effects of his birth mother&'s drug addiction. We named our son Joseph Lachlan. Joseph means "God has added/increased" and Lachlan is gaelic for "warrior." Our expenses for the adoption of Lachlan are great. Besides the typical agency fees, our expenses have included care for the birthmother: her medical care, housing, food, hospital stay, and other supports; Lachlan&'s delivery and seven-day stay in the NICU; attorney retainer and various legal fees as well as our flights to and from Utah. Lachlan is worth every cent and much more. God has already shown His perfect provision for our family in many ways, and we trust that He will provide all that is needed for this adoption, for it is truly His work, not ours. "In You the orphan finds mercy." (Hosea 14:3) Thank you for your prayers and your support of our family!
