is adopting a child from Colombia

We prayed and asked the Lord to have His way in 2019, and He really started the year off with a bang!

The Lord is leading us to adopt a child from Colombia!

We had the opportunity to travel to Colombia this past November, and we fell in love with the country, the culture, the people, and, last but not least, the coffee. On this trip, we had the opportunity to meet orphaned children. Our hearts were burdened and broken for these children, but we had know idea what God would soon do in our hearts.

It started out as just a far off idea in our minds, but we decided to pray about this idea to see if there was anymore to it. Very quickly, it was clear. There was more to it. We knew the Lord was asking us to live out our own story of being adopted into His family through our family.

So, here we are! We are so excited for what the Lord has in store, but we also know that there are many steps to get us to bringing a child home. These children are precious and deserving of the utmost care, so it is only appropriate that there be many steps that go into bringing one of these children into a family. With the steps of the adoption process come fees, which help the entities processing adoptions to be able to continue to do so. We know that we cannot do this alone. We need each of you around us supporting us now, and after our child is home. We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. Would you consider being a part of this story that the Lord is writing for our family?
