We have BIG news!
We are adopting a child from Lesotho, Africa!
We are beyond excited and getting prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our family. Adoption has been in our hearts and on our minds for a long time and we truly believe that now is the time to embark on this faith based journey.
As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. As a Marine Corps family, we are rooted in our hearts, not a house. With the constant moves that our lifestyle requires, we already know that the paperwork and post- adoption processes and fees will be hurdles we have to jump. This is why we have set a goal of $40,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. It truly takes a village to raise a child and we are calling on ours!
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. Nelson Mandela once said, "There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children".
