We are adopting a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have decided to give others the chance to join with us. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can sometimes total up to $30,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $24,000 to help with the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
Since before we were married, we knew that we shared the desire to make adoption a part of our family’s story. In December of 2013, we opened up our home to foster children. Around that same time, we learned that we were pregnant with our son, Braun. This pregnancy experienced complications, a difficult delivery and a subsequent difficulty in getting pregnant with our second child. This had led us to embark on the journey we've discussed for years, our adoption journey.
Adoption is a step of faith that we cannot do without the help, prayers and financial support of others. We have decided to step out in faith and ask those around us to help us grow our family.
