We know you are thinking…Are they crazy? The answer is yes! We did not think we had room for one more. And tried as we might to rationalize against adopting Mamé (4 yrs old), we felt God was urging us to be her forever family.
We have just begun the process. Today we drove up to Birmingham for our first homestudy meeting with Agape. Everyday we are moving closer to making Mamé a Tormey.
She is in Liberia now and she has some mobility challenges. We do not know the extent of them and likely will not until she gets evaluated stateside (God-willing). The process is tedious and costly but we believe worth every bit of our energy. From Riley down to Jameson Joseph…they are fervently praying for Mamé to come home. Zaid thought we were going to get her today when we left for Birmingham.
