Jenny Vander Els

Hello! If we haven’t had the pleasure of meeting just yet; we are the Vander Els, Matthew, Jenny, and Benjamin. And we are grateful you have taken the time to read about our latest adventure. Another adoption! Our lives were forever blessed with the sudden arrival of Benjamin, as we had 22 hours notice. From our journey to becoming Ben’s parents, we have learned that anything can happen when we rely on God’s timing. Matthew and I are excited to see God’s continued handiwork in this newest adoption. God has already shown us faithfulness through each fundraiser when we look at the support and prayers of people we don’t even know! What a joy it is; knowing a supportive community surrounds us. So, we want to say thank you! Thank you for loving our family and coming along side us.

With the initial paperwork done, we now wait for our home study. During this time we will continue to save and raise funds and send in grant applications to various organizations. We learned with Ben to be ready at any moment because God loves to show up and show off when we let Him! As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $30,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
