Adoption has always been a Plan A for us. We just didn't expect such a heart-breaking, difficult journey before adopting. After 3 miscarriages, it became clear that the time for us to adopt is now. As much as losing those babies hurt, we know our hearts are going to be filled with so much love for this child.
We began the adoption process in March thinking we were going to pursue an international adoption but after a few changes we have decided to pursue a domestic newborn adoption through Adoption Associates. We have had all of our home study meetings and our case worker is working on completing our home study. Once that is completed, we will be an official "waiting family"!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. Unfortunately, we don't have the amount needed for this adoption (adoptions can cost $25,000 or more!). This is why we have set a goal of $20,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We feel like we have an amazing community of people surrounding us that can help us achieve this goal!
