The journey to motherhood is different for some. This journey has been like walking in quicksand… I find hope and I continue moving, but sometimes that sand is drowning me a little faster than I can handle.
I’ve finally found the perfect program, the perfect boy, a teenager, who I am so excited to welcome into my life and give him my world. As part of our adoption process, I have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $50,000+. I am humbly asking for help, which anyone that knows me, is hard for me to do, but I’ve accept that as a single mom, I will need to learn to ask for help, more often than I would like. I am asking for just a little help to ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents, especially an adoptive parent (singular).
