November 2019 Update…
It's been a little over a year since we opened our case with our adoption agency. We must confess that the waiting period has been a little more difficult than we expected. We've had some near matches but no solid connections yet. We continue to wait with open hearts and faith that God has already chosen our baby and is just waiting for the right time to bring us together!
Before our adoption journey began…
In the Summer of 2015 we received the happy news that we were expecting our first baby together, a baby boy named Mateo. After a full-term healthy pregnancy, Mateo unfortunately passed away as a result of a cord accident. With our hearts shattered but with hope and faith, we began the process to conceive another child. After one year and half of fertility treatments, and another loss, we felt the call loud and clear: our next baby will join our family through adoption.
Today…
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total to $40,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $20,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he or she grows up.
