is adopting a child from United States of America

We have BIG news!

We are adopting a child!

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to adopt Joslyn. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $10,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.

As you may know, we took custody of Joss from DSS on October 1, 2020. She was born addicted to heroin and spent 2 weeks in the NICU. She went to emergency foster care August 31, 2020 and we met her birth mother who was currently incarcerated. She chose us to raise Joss so we got in touch with DSS. We already had an approved homestudy for foster to adopt and she was placed with us. Over the next 6 months, she slowly detoxed. She was diagnosed with torticollis and completed many months of physical therapy. She graduated out of PT in May of 2021. On May 20, 2021, we were awarded full permanent custody. Our next step in finalization is filing for adoption.

We have been so blessed to have Joss in our lives. She enriches our days. She's smart, funny and a joy to raise. We are so excited to watch her grow up and be a part of our family. Along with Jayden, who is now 15, Joss has completed our family. We are actively taking the next steps to finalize her adoption.
