As many of you know, we have been desperately trying to grow our family for almost 3 years now. The path towards starting a family has not been an easy one, and we have endured the painful loss of suffering 3 miscarriages. Late last year, we were (rather randomly) presented with an amazing opportunity to adopt a beautiful little boy, due in June. Through a combination of faith, luck, and tremendous good fortune, this sweet little miracle has been brought into our lives. We love him so much already and cannot wait to hold him forever.
We always knew adoption was an option we were considering down the road, but given the turn of events, this has obviously become priority number one. Given the timing of this, we were not able to save as we had initially intended. The total costs will amount to over $25,000. After using most of our savings, we determined we will still need $15,750 to make this happen. We are hoping to raise as much as possible without going into (massive) debt, and intend on fundraising, applying for grants, and taking on every option the adoption agency has recommended.
The journey to have a family has been filled with ups and downs, but we finally have found our path. This process has truly shown us that, whether we understand it at the time or not, there is a plan set forth for us. Without going through all this pain and heartache, we would not have had the opportunity to know our sweet son, whom we cannot wait to meet in June. We desperately wish to be parents and give our sweet boy the most amazing life we can. We thank you all so much for your prayers, positive thoughts, and encouragement.
