UPDATED 5/10/16 We are so incredibly grateful and overwhelmed by the generosity of not only our friends and family, but of many we&'ve never had the privilege of meeting both here and in China. To our Chinese donors, we are so touched by your kindness and cannot thank you enough for your gift. While in China we were able to visit many sites and fell in love with the country&'s people, history, culture, and food. We are excited for the day we can take Joanna back to her homeland to show her its beauty. We&'ve been home for a couple months now and we are all adjusting well. Joanna is such a joy and lives up to the meaning of her name. Joanna means "God is gracious". Through out this entire adoption journey God has poured His grace onto our family in ways we&'ve never experienced. Before our birth children were even conceived, we felt God&'s direction towards adoption. In early 2014, we began the process of adopting a special needs girl from China. Through the most incredible circumstances, God has brought an amazing baby girl into our lives. We learned about her in July 2015, and were officially matched in November. After nearly 2 years of waiting we were finally able to meet Joanna in February 2016 and bring her home. We have already paid for a large portion of our adoption on our own but still have debts remaining. The cost has well exceeded $25,000. We are so amazed at how people are able to come together to help provide for orphans. It&'s quite humbling to ask for help but we could never do this alone. Please join our friends, family, and community in raising $25,000 to help us cover our adoption expenses.
