Our family is growing through adoption!
When we began to think about our forever family several years ago, adoption wasn’t in the plans. However, after several fertility tests and numerous appointments, we were given less than a 10% chance of conceiving biological children with or without fertility treatments. This news was devastating and left us searching for answers to the question “what next.”
As we look back over the last two and a half years we spent as foster parents, we see God’s hand in each step of our journey. Our desire to serve families as foster parents and the sorrow brought on by infertility allowed God to work in our hearts and prepare us for such a time as this.
God led us to a local adoption agency that advocates and supports expectant and birth moms in incredible ways. Their mission and vision is close to our heart and aligns with our passion to love families well. What was expected to take months, took less than two. We have recently been selected by an expectant mom to walk alongside her as she makes and adoption plan for her baby, due this December!
Our adoption costs will total over $30,000. Our baby will also be born with a congenital heart defect and special medical needs, which adds additional expenses we were not expecting. Our goal in fundraising is to ease the financial burden that comes with building a family this way as well as help offset some of the medical expenses from surgeries and medical care.
How can you support us?
PRAY: Pray for the expectant mom who will choose our family. We want her to feel loved, celebrated, and valued. We also hope to have a level of openness in our adoption - pray for our relationship with our birth mom, that we would have compassion and that she would feel God’s love radiate. Pray for us as we wait, that we would trust God more, that he would get the glory from our story, and that we will willingly and wholeheartedly serve and worship him throughout our adoption journey.

We won’t let finances deter us but we also want to be humble by making our request for help known. Along with fundraising through our Adopt Together Page, we anticipate having additional fundraisers and using our savings as needed. Every donation helps and we are so incredibly thankful!
