For those of you who have followed our adoption story you are aware of our devastating outcome last year. Losing the opportunity to adopt Tatiana, after 3 years, was quite the blow to our family. After much healing and great consideration we have decided to continue our journey to adopt a little girl from Kyrgyzstan. Because we are staying with the same country some of our paperwork, and previous payments will transfer. However, the majority of our paperwork has expired, and we will be required to visit the country 3 times- for bonding, court, and to bring our little girl home. Thankfully, we will be using an orphanage that has a pro-American director who values the opportunity her children can receive in America. We will not encounter the same experience we had previously. The decision to continue with an adoption did not come easily. However, our fear of having our hearts broken again is far outweighed by our desire to give a child a family and a future. Our family (immediate and extended) has a tremendous amount of love and opportunity to give to a child who is destined to an extremly difficult and uncertain future. We are blessed and we feel the need to share it. We know our lives will be greatly enriched by our adoption. We would never have considered trying to adopt again if it weren't for the encouragement, love and generosity we continually receive from family, friends, and even strangers. We thank you deeply and ask for your prayers and support during this exciting time. We look forward to posting a profile and pictures of our little girl once we are matched. With gratitude, Josh, Leah, Jacob, Bradley & Natalie Wellikson
