We have two amazing biological children, yet when we look around the dinner table, we feel like someone is missing from our family. Both of our lives have been personally enriched by adoption and we have always planned to add to our family in this way. After much research and soul-searching on the complex ethics of adoption, we are thrilled to have found a program that matches children with special needs with families. We anticipate traveling to China as soon as Spring 2016 to bring home the next Wheeland. We wholeheartedly appreciate any contribution, as this endeavor is not without expense, but will help bring a child who would otherwise remain institutionalized and without access to healthcare into a loving family.
