As many of you know, we are adopting! We are past the paperwork phase and are "paper pregnant" which means we are now waiting to be chosen by our amazing expectant mother.
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. The cost of adoption, both domestic and international, is astounding and is the number one reason that families considering adoption usually back out. Thankfully, the agency we are going through is a bit less expensive so we have set a goal of $21,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We don't want anyone to feel pressured into donating but know that it's something several people have inquired about and feel led to do. With this company, the donations go directly to our adoption agency and are tax deductible so it's a win all the way around!
