We are adopting!
Our daughter is from Sierra Leone, West Africa. Our family has always wanted to adopt, but the time never seemed right for us. But then the time became right for God!
We considered hosting a little girl over a summer with the intent of eventually adopting her. We showed our children the pictures from a hosting program that was just beginning in Sierra Leone. All of our children were enamored with the idea, even our 2nd son who is less open to change. However, we were informed that we could only host OR adopt, not both. At that point we could have walked away. But then our 2nd son looked at all the pictures, picked out the girl we had wanted to host, pointed to our future daughter and said "that's my sister". God works in wonderful ways, and He was telling us to pursue a full adoption!
We were blessed to meet our daughter in July, and we know she is will perfectly fit into our family as our oldest child. We trust God will provide for our growing family, and pray you consider being part of this wonderful experience and help us bring our daughter home!
