We are trying to adopt a child!
As long as we've been together, we have always said that if we ever decided to grow our family, it would be through adoption. We have both seen first hand that you do not have to be blood related to someone for them to be a part of your family. In March of 2020 (when the world fell apart) we started to really re-think and re-prioritize our future. Things we had been pushing off until tomorrow became the things we wanted for today. We decided that the time was now, and we were ready to become parents. We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new family member into our home.
As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set up this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
