We&'re heading back to China! After bringing Oliver home from Xiamen in March of 2015, we have decided to start the process to adopt a brother or sister for him. We are excited to see what little one God has chosen for us. Thank you for joining us in our journey! Our adoption journey began early in our marriage when both Lindsey and I discussed our willingness and desires to adopt. Several years later, we decided we were ready to start a family. After signing papers to begin the adoption process in November of 2013, we were matched with our son almost a year later, in October 2014. In early 2015, we boarded the plane headed for China to bring Oliver home. We cannot begin to describe the joy it has been to raise our son over the past year! He is such an amazing little boy and we are thrilled that we get to be a part of his life. About 6 months after returning from China with Oliver, we felt the call to go back for another child and officially began that process in October of 2015. The cost of adoption can be daunting and having recently completed one, we know the extent it will take and will need the help of our family and friends this time around. We are absolutely humbled by the many people who have supported us and will continue to support our family as it grows. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Update 8/20/16 We are so excited to report that all of our paperwork is in China and filed. At this stage in the process, we are simply waiting to see who our next child will be. We may wait months for the call, or it could come today, but the wait can be agonizing at times. Once we are matched with a child, the process then moves quickly and it takes about three to four months to bring him or her home. Obviously, we are thrilled for number two, but God has used this time of waiting to let us be with Oliver and help him recover from the multiple surgeries he had to undergo this year. He has been such a trooper and we are grateful to see him through to the other side before we bring more crazy into the mix. Again, we are so grateful to our family and friends for supporting us, and we can&'t wait to find out who God has chosen for us.
